Often called "an Arkansas Treasure" or "Arkansas' favorite ambassadors",  Mr. Cabbagehead and the Screaming Radishes have been partying for over 27 years.   Led by founders, Steve Carter, Rickey Young and Tommy Cunningham,  "The Cabbageheads"  are an incredibly fun but well rehearsed musical group similar to the Blues Brothers consisting of a rock rythmn section, lead vocalist and three horns.    Long time members are:   Steve Carter, Rickey Young, Tommy Cunningham, Ronnie  Thomas, Richard Carter,  Mike Lenzini, Steve Clark, Harley Vinsant,and Larry Matthews.  They have recently been joined by new screaming trumpet player Josh Hise.  

In 2007  The Cabbageheads were inducted into the the Old Town Music Hall of Fame in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.    Several individual members have been inducted into various other state Music Halls of Fame.
   Mr. Cabbagehead and the Screaming Radishes are a member of the Arkansas Arts on Tour and travel with a self contained sound system and light show.   They are availble for concerts, dances, and workshops.  They spend much of the spring, summer and fall months at large outdoor venues that benifit charitable causes.

Members of the Cabbageheads have performed with the legends of pop and country music including artists such as "The Righteous Brothers, Tina Turner, Kenny Rogers, Rufus Thomas, The Guess Who, and the Platters.   The Cabbagehead Rythmn section was also Carrie Underwood's back-up band for several years.
